“Shoes for Veterans” Drive
Our race scheduled for 9/21/08 at Hanson Hollow’s, Spragueville, Ia has been designated as an ‘Honor the Troops’ race. Whether you are pro-war, anti-war or somewhere in between, I’d like to take this opportunity to ask for your assistance in ‘supporting’ our veterans. The Iowa Workforce Development’s Scott, Clinton, Jackson, and Muscatine Counties Veterans Unit is currently conducting a campaign seeking donations of new or slightly used footwear. The donated footwear will be freely distributed to homeless vets during “Bridging the Gap; Stand Down 2008 for Homeless Veterans” event held on September 25-27 at the Q.C.C.A. Expo Center located in the Quad Cities. They are especially in need of men’s footwear sizes 9 through 12.
So, please, join me in honoring these soldiers by contributing a pair of shoes or other footwear (for example: winter boots). A donation box will be placed near the registration table during the 9/21 race. On numerous occasions I have witnessed the generosity of this series’ racers and their families. So, with that said, I would like to challenge the Two Rivers ATV Club to a collection goal of 25 pairs of shoes or other footwear.
Dave Willey (fast cat) – proud to have served in the US Army

He beat me by 19 seconds after a 10 minute head start. We'll see how fast he is steering with a couple vice grips on the steering stem when the top breaks off...hahaha
420, go play with your twist throttle...
There's a couple of tricky spots in the course just for you Ta2d. I will tell you if you eject at the wrong place on this track your quad could go for a heck of a ride without you.
