I have a question for you racer guys. I plan on attending the race at Kenny's to help out and support our club, but didn't know if it would be helpful to bring my quad. I know the ute guys should bring theirs to help pull out and tow, but would it be smart to bring my Rapture? If I am posted out in the boonies as a track helper, could I ride out there if I have my own ride? Just wondering if I should plan to bring it along. Thanks for any help!

It took me a long time but I've decided I haven't raced yet this year and not gonna start now. As far as watching, you gotta be kidding me. I wouldn't be able to sit there for 2hrs and watch without it getting under my skin. Maybe next year.

I suppose you could ride it out there if you were posted. They don't like people being outside the pits on machines unless they are workers. That is really something you will have to talk to Andy about, but bring it anyways just in case. Hell if anything maybe you can go run the track afterwards.

I think you should bring it so if you would like to help out on the track you could just ride to your post. Just park it way off the track. It would help to wear an orange 2 Rivers t-shirt if you have one. When you get there just ask someone with an orange IATVHSS shirt on how you can get involved in helping out with the races. Someone wearing a radio headset will know the most.
I would request to help slow and direct traffic at the new creek crossing on the East side of the gravel drive or the new hill climb near the opening of the East loop. Should be plenty of action both places.
PM Fastcat to inquire about reduced admission rates for track helpers.

And when you see a green and black KFX450R with the #30, direct him to the fastest line.

And when you see a green and black KFX450R with the #30, direct him to the nearest repair shop. /\ Its like you are Nostridomis or something...ESP?? Anyway, great race at Kenny's place this past weekend. Made the podium again. 6 in a row but still not the top spot. One more race to put it all together. Amber and Eric entered the Womens and B class and both did well finishing mid-pack. Fastcat racked up another win in +50 and Z-Racer Randy Willey was on the C+ line again but had an unfortunate run-in with a moving rock that put him out early. After talking to Z today he is planning to come back strong at round 7 in Indianola IA. Josh Radcliff (450mxh) put in a solid ride until taunting the Turbo caused him to go wide in a high speed corner and have a lil mis-hap. Josh may still have finsihed well but the results have not been posted. Thanks to all the club members that came out to watch and help. Wait4me had a busy day at a new hill climb. When I went past his post on the first lap he had his hands full with a KTM losing a battle with gravity. It was great to see handsome Henry deep in the North woods, pipe in hand, pointing to each approaching quad the way to go. Thanks to the members that set up a magazine table and spreading good cheer. What a great weekend. ;D

I would like to say thank you very much to Weck, Fastcat, the land owner and the rest of your club that helped out with this race. The terrain was awesome and gave us a bit of everything!!! There were some sections I hated and some that I loved. My day was cut short. I think it was the roll over sensor but am not sure yet. I ahve to go to Robfast's tomorrow to test ride. I was in 6th starting lap 3 and picking people off when I broke down. My dead last finish pushed me from 9th to 11th in points so I am gonna have to finish strong at round 7 to earn a trip to the banquet. Although I will go anyways to support my friends and maybe have some refreshments.

BTW, I believe it was Amber that pulled over by me saying that her shifter wasn't working right like something was jamming it. She stopped and it worked fine and she took off. As soon as she left I noticed something where he quad was and it was a raccoon skull. Lol, makes me wonder what kind of lines she was taking. Lol, jk.

Yeah, that raccoon skull was a weird thing! At least it was just a little raccoon skull and not something bigger like Big Foot skull. That would have been really weird!! The track was fun and did have a little bit of everything. I was second off the line and finished in 5th. Not too bad for a totally stock machine. Thanks everyone who cheered us on!!

It was a good time and I'm very happy that I was able to attend and help! My little corner of the track was lonely and hot as heck, but it was alot easier than racing! ta2d, as stupid as it sounds, I kept an eye out for the green/black Kawi but wasn't sure if I saw you or not. The AM group had a black/white Kawi and the PM group seemed to have more than one black/green Kawi. I might be mistaken as my post was right after the creek crossing and a fast lane so colors were all kinda brown when they went by me. hahahaaa I can honestly say that I pointed you to the fastest lane though!!! Of course, it was the ONLY way to go but hey, that's all the options I had. ;D Yeah, Jamie came up on me leading a small pack of racers right when I was trying to get a KTM back into the climb. The rider was so pissed at himself, I thought he was going to start punching himself in the head! haaahaaa Jamie and the others paused for a second and just made paths up the hill as we got the KTM off the road. I didn't mind the (AM group) KTM, or a (PM group) Kawi that turned uphill alittle early (1st lap) and got themselves wedged between 2 trees. He was going the right way, just not using the easiest way up!! We had to do alittle yanking to dislodge the rear wheel but he was back in the race shortly! ......not that I think of it, I remember it was black and a Kawi......and there could of been green in the front.....did you get wedged on that hillclimb ta2d?? If so, you're very welcome!! The only racer who really made me earn my "pay" was a very kind female piloting another Kawi. She had went 2/3 up the climb and spun off the trail right into a pile of dead logs/branches. She was stuck and throwing dirt. I tried an easy push, no luck....pulled a bunch of branches and logs out.....still spinning.....pushed her hard right and hard left, just dug a pair of holes. Finally I tried pulling her back into me to clear the ruts she dug and immediately backed into a much bigger dead log. By now I had eaten plenty of dirt and was wearing the rest (P.S. don't carry your nice cell phone while pushing quads up a hill). She knew she was covering me in dirt and before trying to shoot over her ruts and get up that hill, she politely yelled "I'm gonna go!" so I would be expecting the big wave of fresh dirt that was coming. Okey dokey!! She started up, cleared the ruts and started spinning alittle higher up. I swallowed my fresh dirt sandwich, jumped back behind her and with a huge push/lift, got her over the hump and back down the trail. D@mmnnnnnn that was a chore!!!! I stumbled down the hill gasping for air and feeling like I was NOT going to do that all day! My sorry a$$ is in sad shape obviously!! Lucky for me that was the only serious hangup all day. ;D ;D I spent the next 15 minutes trying to get the dirt coating off me, but the sweat had already made it permanent. Poor me, I had to get a widdle durtyy. hahahahaaa I did take the cell phone off after that though....can't afford to buy a new one every time somebody gets stuck! Oh, and the only wreck near me was 450mxh's. It didn't happen in my view, but the sound of something metal slamming into something ELSE metal made a sound that sent me running. Josh was off his quad and checking the damage as I came around the turn. He was pissed about "always doing this sh_t on the last lap" . He said he was okay but I wasn't sure as his quad had slammed into a barbed wire fence, rolled down that fence into a steel post, bent that post over (the sound I heard) and continued down the wire until stopping a few feet short of the much bigger wooden corner post!! In my novice opinion, it was probably the barbed wire wrapped around his front tire that stopped him before being a decoration on that post! While he was walking off his anger and catching his breath, I was able to untangle his tire from the wire. We checked his skid marks through the grass and realized it could of been SO VERY bad. Since he was hard into his turning, his quad was able to follow the wire down the line instead of going through it!! We all know those snowmobile stories about barbed wire and high speeds. He was also leaning way off the left side for the turn so the wire going down the right side of the quad was kept away from chewing him up. I wasn't convinced that he was completely ok, but he jumped back on and motored away. Later on, he did find a large burn on his leg, but wasn't 100% sure of it's source. I was just happy he came away from that crash as well as he did!! Thanks for asking us to help out, it was alot funner than I expected and the experience of it was sweet!!!

ninjaquad, you told me at the race you were a hobbiest photog but you are alittle more than that! I should have known when I saw your hella-fancy camera I guess. You really take some nice pics Colin and if your work gets too popular, Thede Photography will either sub-contract with you to help her cover more racing events.....or she'll send some goons to collect on the bounty she will have on your head!! HAHAhaaaaa Great work on those shots, please keep it up!!!!!!!!!!! ;D
