#2 is about on us in just over a week we will be heading to Fort Dodge Iowa for Round #2. This track has always been rough and its usually hot up there so hoping the track will be a little smoother and the temperatures down a little..... ;D I am hoping that the Two Rivers Bunch that raced at Kenny's will show up and continue on there quest for the #1 plate in the womens class.... Come on Amber If you place top three I will pay your entry fee... Bring Amy along to I think she would like this track... And of course Ubie he might do a little better than top five this time around..... All of Open Fly Racing should be there, along with Turbo and his Boys, Jason Noble, and the ta2d in all his glory. Looking forward to the trip and race so till its over Fastcat1 is outta here................................................

#2 has came and went, and it was just like I remembered Hot, Dusty, Rough, tight and did I mention rough... The track was run backwards this year from last and they threw in some new places just for grins and giggles.. Open Fly Racing was there except for Z-Racer he set this one out for his throw away. Robfast took 1st in the old B class with honors over Jason noble who finished 9th, Turbo came in 13th after some problems encountered on the track and ta2d finished 17th I can only guess the kawi Gremlins got him again. Ryan Reekers found a tree in the woods and snapped a tie rod but got it fixed and finished the race in the Old C class. In the +50 Old timers class there were 4 old bast---ds line up to do battle, at the drop of the flag everybody was off like a shot except for Fastcat1 he killed his on the line and had to try again, So after getting the beast started and chasing everybody in the dust I was doing okay. It got good in about 4 minutes when about 12 people took a left and I took a right and followed the arrows. Went from zero to hero in about 4 and 1/2 minutes had the lead and never looked back and pulled out a 1st. I was happy the quad and the rider made it the 2 hours. Missed the Two Rivers Crew, maybe next time... So till #3 come along will wait for the blisters to heal and the pain to go away and hopefully try and train for the next one so till later Fastcat1 is outta here....... P.S. Almost forgot to mention that the Weckels boys Luke & Adam did well in the Fort Dodge Luke had some minor motor problems but still fiished the race. So till the next one Luke/Adam have a good one.....

"Encountered some problems on the track." I like that.
Apparently being able to see the trail you are riding is on is important. It was so dusty that I was trying to ride by feeling the Force, but the Force let me down... lol
I got a good start and was 4th into the track. Following the front 3 real close I went to fast over a 12 foot drop in the trail and went flying. I think I hit head and right shoulder first then got clobbered by the tumbling quad. I slid in the rocks for a ways then got up and checked myself over. Everything was still attached and moving so I waved to the other riders I was alright and then jogged down the trail to my quad that had parked itself in a small group of trees right side up and ready to go. I could not believe it was not smashed up. This all happened in the first 5 minutes of the race. So I got going again and was able to catch up to 13th. After the race I had to lay in the bed of my truck for a while to keep from puking I was hurting so bad. Mrs. Turbo threatened to call the ambulance over if I didn't start moving so I got up and started changing my clothes and loading up. She drove most of the way home while I was stoned on ibuprofen. I'm getting a lot better everyday but I have bruises and scrapes on both elbows, both knees, my neck and somehow on my forehead.
I'm getting faster and have not paid the piper lately so I guess I'm caught up for a while. :->
Broke my helmet visor and chest protector. I can repair the visor and B&B Heating is sponsoring a new chest protector. Thanks Mom & Dad...

" I think I hit head and right shoulder first then got clobbered by the tumbling quad. I slid in the rocks for a ways then got up and checked myself over. So you were giving a whole new meaning to your Mom and Dad's "Bouncing Baby Boy". At least you made it out alive to race another day!
