#5 is just around the corner, this is the furtherest away track we have to go to this season. the last two races have been hot, hot, hot, and then some more hot and lot of dust........ Hopefully the weather will help us out this year and cool down just a little bit. The track is about 7 miles long and quite a mixture of tight, up, down, rough, and what ever you might want. Fastcat1 will be spending the next couple weeks getting the kitty in tip top shape to go to this race and hopefully there will be no mechanical problems this time. Hope to see the Open Fly racing crew keep up the great racing in there other classes and keep on bringing hope the trophy's for the team. Would like to see some others that show an interest in this venue show up and enjoy the series. So till later Fastcat1 is outta here..........................

I have got to redeam myself this year at Decatur City. The last 2 years I have left there a few thousand dollars in the hole.

Did you say a few thousand dollars in your hole? Sounds painful...
I'm in and for the record I am hoping for 105 degrees in the shade.
TA, ya wanna put a wager on who has the faster mph?

I'm not wagering nothing at Decatur, oh no. But I will for Mt. Pleasant, that is my style. My first year at Decatur I was half way through the first lap and clipped a tree breaking my clutch lever off, hand guard, bending a tierod and blowing a 4" hole in my radiator. Last year my chain snapped shattering the case in which I ended up buying the KFX440, which was better in the long run.

Ya it was last year when I first met you after the race and that had happened. You were real pissed but handled it well.

Yeah, I was pissed, but I can only stay pissed for so long. Couldn't do nothing about it, I just wish I had a beer there, haha. Now my wife, oooh she was pissed and stayed pissed hahaha.

Yep, it was a great day and probably the best track yet of the 3 years I have been to Decatur City. Dust was'nt an issue this year and except for a couple creek crossings that fell apart the track was excellent. I nearly had my first win at this round. I was chasing the leader when we came to a bottleneck creek crossing crowded with about 25 quads. The leader went left and was blocked in the traffic, this rider who is stuck tells me that he just seen a ute cross the creek about 30 feet down and that I should have tried it. Well in that moment that can make or break your finish cause if ya try it and bury your quad you're done. So anyway the 3rd place guy he takes this new hotline and makes it. So I shoot over there and it really was a simple cross so I take it and make it. But then with 4 miles to go I could'nt pass the class leader and finished right behind him.
My Quad City Quad Doctor 450R ran great all day and I am happy with the finish. Still leading the C+26 class points. Also happy about my avg. MPH being enough to place in the middle of the B and +30 classes, and my mph was way faster than Ta2D....:->

Ok wise guy, how about you step up to B class then. ;D We didn't get started till about 2pm when it was good and toasty out. I got another bad start and can't wait for the day when I won't have to come from behind. I got stuck pretty good on the first lap and wore myself out trying to get out of that one. By then everyone and their brother had passed me and was in last place in my class. By the time it was said and done I worked my way back up to 8th out of I think 26 in the B class. That track got pretty tore up and beat me up. I definately need to stiffen up the shocks. I am glad I didn't quite kill myself and my machine is running and in one piece for the most part.
