I was waiting for something like that from you.... I have noticed it starting to smoke the last couple of times i have ridden it, i have ridden through some water last week hoping maybe if i change the oil, and spark plug it might go away, but knowing my luck it won't.

I forgot to mention that the inlet pipe to the muffler has cracked off, so i need one anyways and with a $100 credit at qdoc's for doing some work for him will get me a exhaust.

I've always had cobra exhaust on my 350X, I ran the basic steel model with matching head pipe until two winters ago when I got the Cobra aluminum series with head pipe. It is waaaaaaayyy loud almost too loud at times, but you can definately tell the power difference and it really opened up the 350's breathing. The old steel setup was on the 350 when I bought it and I rode the heck out of it for 5+ years and it was still in working order when I removed it. I like the cobra stuff because its simple and well made and does what you want any pipe to do, which is look good, make more noise, and add some extra performance. Plus by the pricing out there on most other pipes the cobra is very reasonable and makes getting a pipe more affordable when you dont have 400+ to spend. To be honest a large reason I have a cobra pipe is because there are very few aftermarket pipe options for the ATC 350X. DG makes pipes for the 350 but I dont like DG stuff personally. I am very please with the performance, looks, and durability of the cobra pipes I've had and wouldnt trade them for anything else. The decision is yours but I think you'd be pleased with a cobra and it would likely wake that mojave up a bit. My full Cobra exhaust system thats on the X now!

thanks xman!!! the one you have on the 350x is one of my options, like your 350x they don't make that many pipes for the mojave.. I think i am going to go with the Cobra Jet Exhaust which is the polished one. i hope it opens up the mojave.....

The polished Cobra Jet is pretty sweet as well. You may consider buying the optional quiet core for it. Many of the parks the club goes to have exhaust decible level limits. I know my cobra is way over most of those.
I was set to buy a quiet core for mine but I bought the Z and now I only ride the X on private land where registration and sound limits dont really apply. I do know the club has been on rides where they actually have a decible meter and they check you out. If anything it may be a good idea to just keep the quiet core in the truck and throw it on if needed.
I think the core for my exhaust was around $25-$30, I imagine the cobra jets would be similar. Then again that mojave may not be as loud as my X so you might be ok, its just food for thought.

I was getting scared about it being too loud and I was wondering if I could make it quieter when needed. I probally will buy it and test it out, maybe even have someone with a DB meter measure it and go from there. I know it would tick me off if I drove 2+ hours to ride and get kicked out because I am too loud. Thanks for the info!!
P.S. is that a bucket of soap and water under that 350x? geesh can't you take a picture of the Z or the X without washing it? hahaha

P.S. is that a bucket of soap and water under that 350x? geesh can't you take a picture of the Z or the X without washing it? hahaha Ironically the bucket is full of oily rags. Those pics are from when I did a complete teardown and rebuilt of the motor. The bucket was there to catch oil I spilled while filling the motor and the rags are from wiping up all the drips and spills throughout the rebuild process. It looks squeaky clean because, well it is. Everthing was freshly painted or scrubbed before it was all reassembled. Good eye though, but normally I make sure to remove all buckets and cleaners before I take any pics.

************UPDATE**************** Well at this point I don't have very many nice things to say about Cobra Exhaust! It has been 2 weeks and they still haven't "looked" at my Exhaust yet. We talked to them today and they only look at damaged ones on Thursdays. Wait, it gets better! So Cobra doesn't actually store their own products in their Factory. They only make the Exhausts when they have a big order for them and as of now there is none scheduled and they don't even know if they are going to make them for the Mojave again. So basically I have no idea when I will recive my replacement Exhaust. I still have to wait till Thursday to find out if it is indeed a "Manufacture Defect" and all this time is going by that the Mojave is parked I am demanding a full refund, and I have my eye on a used White Brothers Exhaust for the Mojave. Talk about a pain in the rear just trying to get a Exhaust replaced. The Exhaust did sound good, didn't last long but I would never buy one again just for the run around I have been getting!

Hey, nobody mentioned this about the Oskie ride, but there was a Mojave there that looked exactly like yours!! It had a "BIG GUN" exhaust on it which sounded pretty good. The best part about it being there was: while everybody was getting unloaded and dressed in their costumes, a utility quad was towing the Mojave back and forth acorss the parking lot for about 10 minutes!!! Hahahaha No kidding. It finally started though.... I guess those Mojave's are all the same!! That Mojave did run the rest of the time I was there.....and it spent alot of time on the MX track. It didn't have the power to hit this big tabletop as hard as the racer's there, but it was still jumping every time and scooting around with all the other quads. You Mojave riders are a dedicated bunch aren't you ? ;D hahaha

The one time I don't go, a Mojave is till present!!! That is awesome, to bad I wasn't there to chase him around the park!
It is funny it got pulled around the parking lot to get started! That is one thing about Kickstarts, they suck when it won't start!
I have actually never seen another Mojave when I have been riding!

If a manufacture had a defect, why didn't you send it back when you noticed it? I don't see you getting a new exhaust after seeing what you sent back. They are probably laughing too hard to even see where they put it.
Sooooo.... quit making excuses and put something on there (stock or whatever) and represent that mojave at the Fun Run.
I have 3 teeth missing on my countershaft sprocket, so instead of asking for a new sprocket, I ordered a new one and hope to have it on for the race. If not.... I will make one out of wood and still race. ok, not really, but I have an old spare I would have to fall back on.

I noticed the small crack Thursday before we went to Wis and I sent it in the week after Wis. W4M can verfiy that it was a small 1" crack at the weld before Wis and that small crack spread it to pieces. I wouldn't have raced the race anyways because Saturday I am Tailgating and going to the Iowa Game and then come back to Leclaire for a Haloween Party! Lets just say I would not be in condition to race a race after all that beer that will be consumed.
Don't forget I haven't had that much time on that Exhaust anyways. I bought it in June and rode for a month then parked it to rebuild the Motor. It probally has 40~ hrs on it now so there is no excuse for them and there is no marks from a roll over or bottoming it out and it clearly started at their weld.
