What were you hoping this post was about?? Well I am probably giving away a mod I am adding but I need suggestions. The head pipe nuts on my 350 are rusted as rusted can be. I am trying to avoid the inevitable breaking, drilling and retapping that I fear it may come too. The design, (one which honda changed in 86) consists of threaded studs protuding from the head which the header slides over and then nuts are used to tighten the headers in place. I tried a Nut Splitter but the nuts are recessed back behind the cooling fins and I cant get the tool positioned properly. I've tried spraying them with PB Rust Buster for days even weeks They still refuse to budge I've taken a torch to them but the nearby oil cooler lines made me shy away. Any suggestions out there that may help would be greatly appreciated

A little heat usually works on my tough nuts. I had one once that was rounded off, so I cut it off with a dremel. Ouch Call Powroll and have them send you a new ported and polished head. That way you won't have to worry about it. www.powroll.com/P_HONDA_ATC350X.htmGlad I could help!!!

Well I am happy to report I got my nuts off last night, and this time Weck's Mom didnt even help 3 out of 4 aint bad I guess, this stud broke the 4th stud. So now I get the fun task of trying to remove the stud from the head without doing any extra damage. Oh and by the way the nut jokes never get old I especially like radicals ;D LOL
