#7 of the IATVHSS will be held Oct. 7th at Montezuma, Iowa at the ski slopes. There are a lot of close races going on at this one kinda like the chase for the cup, Club riders include David Moline who is in 2nd place for the points chase and only one point ahead of 3rd so David has to ride hard and smart to maintain his one point cushion, Good luck David and hope you maintain your place in the +30 class. Jamie (Turbo) Weck is currently 8th in the standing in the C+ class and is only 6 points out of 5th so I think if the Turbo gets with the program he can possibly move up to 5th in the standing, Pep talk Turbo remember to ride hard, ride safe and as always some times slower is faster, Go give em hades. New to Open Fly Racing Team is Robbie Enquist who's in 6th place out of almost 30 riders in the Young C class and is only 4 points out of 5th, This is all being done on a older 300ex. My hats off to you Robbie Now go out there and pick up those 4 points and jump into the top 5 for your class. Joel (Tater Tot) Ballenger has competed in 2 races and you must run 4 to make the points chase and UBN has only competed in 1 Race, UBN seemed to have did well in the one and only race he was in. Would sure like to see him compete in a couple more. This course will be short hopefully at least 6 miles and part of it will be on a motor cross track which is not my favorite, But there will be plenty of up hills, down hills, off camber to suit even the most die hard competitor. I look forward to starting and finishing this race, Because that will make two years running that Fastcat1 Has started every race and finished. 2 years of Ironman status. So till we know more this is the scoop. Till later Fastcat1 Out.

This is good news, I dont plan to attend the Black River Falls Ride so chances of me tagging along for this race are looking good. I cant commit now as things can change alot in just a few weeks but I am feeling pretty good about my chances. It's highly likely that all I need to do is watch one of these to really want to be in one, so who knows maybe spectating will be the push that gets me into next years series. Regardless I've been wanting to check one out for some time now so I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can make it. I'll post here when I know more and hopefully one of the racers has an empty seat in there tow vehicle for a water boy! ;D I'll bring the high quality H 2 O!!

Jamie the TURBO Weck finished 9th out of a class full of riders hoping to make up some points in this class, because there were some tight point races. He finished 9th for the season out of 28 riders in his class. Way to go Jamie top 10 in points Robbie Enquist new to Open Fly Racing this year finished 6th out of 28 in his class this race. Came in 7th overall out of 53 racers in his class. My hats off to you You made a lot of fast riders look slow and all this on a 300ex. Next year will be a great year for you Robbie. Fastcat1 finished in the top spot for this race as well as the series in his class. I was a little disappointed in the turn out of older riders this year. We will be moving to the AM classes next year hoping to get some more riders out there racing (really I just trail ride) So anybody out there thats +50 and you want to go ride around for 2 hours just let me know and I will help you get what you need. David Moline finished 8th I believe and stayed in the top 5 for the year great riding and hope the best for you in the off season. The track was tight, rough, rutted, fast, off camber, off camber down hill, off camber uphill, whoops, more whoops, uphill jumps, downhill S-curves, and did I say rough and rutted, fast right through the camping areas. Weather was hot, then a little rain, then windy with hot, then to finish the race Hard Rain. I will miss the monthly races for a couple of months so will back down on my training Ha Ha ( as if I ever trained ). In closing I would like to thank Mizz Kitty for putting up with my fantasy that I am a ATV Racer, and going to all these races and being my Pit Girl, feeding me food, taking pictures and making sure I have everything I need to make it through one of these races. Thanks to Jamie, Robbie and everybody that stands on the side and cheers me on it means alot. OK Jamie, Robbie, David, and any other racer you may now take a month off from your rigors of your training program. So now lets go get a pizza. Fastcat1 has made 2 years of Iron Man status in the IATVHSS series, Have started and finished each and every race for "06 & "07. I will now sit back polish my plaques and wait for the "08 season to show up so till then Ride Hard, Ride Safe and Ride often Fastcat1 Out.

Every club member who entered enough races to finish in the points standings finished in the Top 10 ?! ;D D@mn, nice work fellas!!! It sounds like a very successful finish for the 2007 Harescramble Series. Glad to hear you all did so well, and are all still in one piece. I'll see you all on the trails.

well, uncle fastcat! I finally came out of my sandhole and read the race forum. Sad to say, I redeploy next November so I wont make any of the 08 races. But rest assure that I will make at least one of the 09 races because I have got the itch bad and nothing to scratch with over here. Congrats to all of the Open Fly Race team members who competed! Hope to make at least one race with you guys!

You could'nt hang with the C class. We need to schedule a lil practice ride so you can work on your starts. I could maybe make it out your way later in December if its not to cold for ya. I'll look for you on that other site...
