Race Day, Hot, Hot, Hot it was a mild 102degrees when I got on the starting line at 1:15 PM. I was last into the woods and all I could do is go up from there. It was a very tight track with lots of in and outs some way off camber stuff, some wide open places across a plowed field that was rougher than hades. I finished 8th in my class out of 11 (so you see I moved up 3 places) I did kinda wimp out after 3 laps I loaded it up and called it a day. About 6:30 PM I was starting to feel better again after lots of water and an air condition truck. Don't know how I finished overall those stats aren't posted yet. Jamie ( The Weck Meister ) finished 19th out of 26 I believe, There was some fuel cap problems on the 1st lap, after that was taken care off he was off and running top 10 times for the rest of the race, he finished 56th out of 71 in the morning class. Randy, Justin, and Joel did not make it to the race, Hope to See them next time. So till later Fastcat1 Out

Yes it was a hot day. I got a decent start and was about 7th into the woods. There was a traffic jam on the trail from a class that started ahead of me. I did have a gas cap malfunction, as in it fell off after I checked the tank air flow while waiting for the track to clear. It did not fall off until I was about 100 yards further down the trail. So I pull over to find it and the rest of my class took off. Then the other three classes running that day went on by. I walked back down the trail and kicked through the weeds but could not find it. I went back to the bike and it was laying between the frame and the footpeg. I put it back on and continued my charge to the front. I caught a few and a few probably quit or wrecked. My first lap was about 46 minutes, but lap 2,3,4 were all within 15 seconds of each other at around 25 minutes per. My times were good enough to run top ten if it were not for the first lap so I was satisfied with that..
Onto Mt Pleasent 9/17
Hopefully the Open Fly Racing Team will make a better showing!!!

Check the tank air flow?? WTF?? I bet next time you'll do that before you start the race.
