Inquiring minds want to know...

I checked the CLIFFS website to check all the rules but still have a question or two (go figure). I know we need flags (ordered 'em), HELMETS, and to sign the liability waiver (with $22 fee/$8 for kids). I couldn't find any age restrictions for the kids, so does anyone know about under 12 riding there? There is also a 96 decibel exhaust limit, and I can't find the specs for the HSP pipe/silencer I ordered! Anybody know the decibel level of the HSP 2-stroke pipe?! I plan on making the Cliffs ride as I heard it is a great park, but I don't have it "locked in" yet.

The "Cliffs" will sometimes do db checks, but only on machines w/ aftermarket pipes installed. My 250R exceeded the sound limit by 1 or 2 db, but they allowed me to ride for the day & told me to re-pack the silencer before returning again. I'll be riding my EX next Sunday & if it exceeds the limit, I will just take out some discs to compensate (Supertrapp exhaust). If nothing else, I'll have an idea how loud my quad is after testing. Most pipe manufacturers will not guarantee their noise level because there are other factors that can contribute to increased sound besides just the pipe. For instance, air cooled engines are generally louder than water cooled engines; open air boxes will add sound, turn-down tips, etc... [glow=red,2,300]YES, everyone will need flags.[/glow] We have many high quality flags in stock in a variety of flagpole colors. They are the longer Dune Style masts, but can easily be cut shorter for Midwest woods riding if preferred. In addition, they sell flags at the park& do have a limited inventory of flags in-stock at the check-in. But I do believe they have run short on past rides due to the large turnout of club members. I'll bring a selection of flags to the park for anyone in need. Why do I get the feeling before the week is out I may be asked to do something more than attend the ride? I hope somebody steps up for Ride Host ASAP!

If my pipe comes in too late in the week, I won't be using it anyway so I guess I'll wait and see. Also, if my flags don't come in......I will also be in need of them QDoc, so I hope you are stocked up and let us know the going rate! I do have flag quickmounts already on the quads, so I would just need some 1/4" whips.

I believe the Qdoc's flags have the spring as the base. I have one, and it works way better than the typical flag whip.

The HSP Pipe registered 95.9 db during lab testing so you should be fine, just don't rev it during the testing.
Doc, will you be accepting Q-Pons at the ride for flags? Can these be combined for the purchase of higher priced items. I made 900 dollars worth on the copier over lunch last Friday. As soon as I get more ink & paper I would like to order some Elka shocks through you.

You don't get a choice about revving the quad or not. When they tested the "R" they monitored the RPM & made you run about 3,000 rpm I think. There's always a joker in every crowd ("Weck"). Will we see our fearless leader "Weck" at Insane on Sunday? I hope so, there's nothing better to watch than a rivalry match between Weck & UBN. ;D Except of course watching EX try to keep up with UBN! Bring back some of that Texas Tea while you're down there...

I guess I better not install the pipe until after the Cliffs ride. That's even if it gets in before then anyway. QDoc, will your spring-base flags fit into a 1/4" quick-mount or do I need to take it off and just use the bare bracket?! Or, do you carry any 1/4" whips also? Where do I get these Q-pons too?

Weck is continuing his quest to make it to the NBA on Sunday. Another Cliffs no show for me.

You'll have to take off your quick-mount to mount the spring-loaded flags...
Q-Pons are donated to TwoRivers club members for the monthly drawing(s). Your best chance to win is attend as many club events as possible during each month.

My whip flags came in today so I am set for that rule. Now does anyone know if 10 year-olds can ride there? That's my last question about the Cliffs, I promise.
