This year we are cutting back to one points ride per month. This is being done to rejuvenate club ride participation. You are welcome to set up an additional ride anytime, but no points will be awarded to the attendees. Just post where you are going or bring it up at a club meeting. After all, we enjoy riding no matter what!
All scheduled points rides will be held the first Saturday or Sunday after the monthly club meeting. Club meetings will continue to be held at Rivals in Davenport on the first Thursday of each month.

The ride schedule I got at the x-mas party showed St. Joe June 19-21, did that get changed or what?

Well what if you don't like the place the club is going, or you can't get off work on a sat, but you can on a sun, or vise versa, or not at all, but you can do some riding that week, I think you retired folks have an unfair advantage, I pay my dues I should haave the same chance as everyone else!

I would imagine if you did not like where the club was going you would go somewhere else. If you cannot go on the day that the club is going, get some buddies together and go on a day you can. I am not sure what advantage is given to those who are retired. Many club members who have full time jobs make it to the rides as well. What does the club have to do to give you the same chance as everyone else? If you have a suggestion I am sure the board is open to listening. Getting on here and posting a bunch of complaints with no suggestions/solutions seems a little bit silly.

I don't think I posted a buch of complaints, just wanted to make one point about one issue. I missed the jan. meeting cuz I work 3rd shift and its hard 4 me 2 make the meeting and get enough sleep(its a full time job), but I did make the dec. meeting and Dave Wiley said that points would no longer be given out to anyone doing an alternative ride. He said points would only be give once per month and only to those attending a schedualed club ride on the day it is schedualed, if a ride is on a sunday very far away that cuts me out cuz I work on sunday night, but what if I ride sat. Not sure what to suggest, I ride all the time in the woods behind my house does that count for anything, or does that give me an unfair advantage? Here's a suggestion, do away with the points thing all together and spend the money on a kick ass FREE 4 EVERYONE christmas party!

There were many factors taken into consideration when the board decided to go back to one club ride a month. There is more work than just showing up to make some of our club rides work. By having the number of rides that we had in the past with the number of people that attended it made difficult to justify the time.
I feel like there was more of an unfair advantage given to the retired members in the past by having more rides. It is much easier with my wife and work to justify one weekend vs two weekends a month.
Each member will get points for going on the scheduled ride and the club meeting. Also with the introduction of the Race Gas Program you will receive a $10 gift card from Rocky Mountain ATV for each ride and meeting you attend. With this program it should be very easy to recoupe your membership costs very quickly.
There is no way to accomodate all of the members for all of the possible senereos. They took the infomation that they had and made a decision based on that. When membership is back up to where it was when they started the two rides a month it may be something to bring back.
Sorry if I came across as catty in my last post. I just hope you understand that no decision is made without quite a bit of consideration.
