Running my first Bix tomorrow. I just turned 36 and since that ryhmes with Bix I thought it would be a good year to get this crossed off my life list. If you are running it or going to watch look for me a couple minutes behind the leaders... ;D I will have photographic proof in the next few days. I'm in decent shape but have not ran over a mile in almost 20 years so there will be a lot of mall walking too. Encouragements or doubters equally welcome. Post up below...

Are you going to be riding one of the motorcycles that films the people running? See you at the checkered with oxygen. Seriously, good luck.

Wow what a race I thought the conditions were just right for running. I dont think I've ever seen that many runners before. Everything was going good until about 30 minutes into the race my legs starting cramping real bad. It was at that point when I couldn't take it any more and I decided that's enough. So I rolled out of bed, yawned , stretched, rubbed and headed for a hot shower. Can't wait till next year!!!!

You had me going for a second there.
I did see Piglet Matt along the way, thanks for the hollar...
My first Bix 7, or any running race for that matter, went very well. I was not able to resist even the first offering from the Hostess company and had to have 2 twinkies and a cupcake at about the 4 1/2 mile mark so then as luck would have it I was offered a cold Bud Light at the 5 mile marker and slammed that too. People give you funny looks when you are running a race holding a beer. What's the big deal??? Anyway I feel great and even spent the afternoon / evening on Princeton Beach with some friends.
Running isn't easy but I will tell you I am way more beat after a 2+ hour quad race than a wimpy 7 miles. Playing in the dirt is way better!!
I'll post some pics as soon as I get them from the paparazzi.
