In just over a week #5 of the IATVHSS will take place in Decatur City Iowa. Which is in south central Iowa, Its the furthest race away for us up here in Davenport. It is usually Hot, Hot, Hot, and then a whole lot of dusty and Hot. And did I mention its usually HOT. This is a farm owned by one of the IATVHSS racers so it usually a great track, Track, Rough and Dusty and Hot. Look forward to Open Fly Racing making a good showing at this race. I hope all the Kawie boy have the Gremlins figured out, Hope all of us get the Hole Shot and make Podium. So till I see the Checkered Flag Ride Hard, Ride Safe................. P.S. After this race is over it will be time to start getting ready for the Heartland Challenge our 10 hour race..... See Ya Bye.......

Hey Fastcat, I think you forgot to mention that it is usually HOT at DC, haha. Last year the temp was 104 with high humidity and no wind. Oh and the afternoon didn't start till after 2 pm.
As of right now my engine is tore down waiting on rings and gaskets. We now believe that might be the whole issue with the Kawi running bad since it gave a bad compression test. I also have to get a whole new exhaust system. Our good friend Quadrookie, now retired from racing has offered to let me use his until I get a new one since he doesn't ride his quad anymore. And in return of this gratious manner I will wipe away the beer debt that he owes me. haha

#5 has came and went, and what a great day to race the weather was 20+ degrees cooler than previous races and the track was really great. It was rough but not as bad as last year. Open Fly Racing was there but short a few riders the Reeker's & Josh were missing in Action with prior engagements taking up there time. +30 class was brutal for the Turbo he finished 8th with a good solid run. Z-Racer trying to get used to some new add-ons to the kawie came in in the bottom 3 of his class. Robfast took 6th in the B class which is huge this year and fastcat took 2nd one more time only lost by 42 seconds in a 2 hour race I was happy. Got stuck in the only mud hole in 20 miles of the track and 1st place got by with a train load of other riders and I just couldn't catch back up to him, Awesome race and now to get ready for the Heartland Challenge which will be 10 hours of fun ( I Hope ). Ta2d Gremlins were working overtime on him this weekend only made one lap and had to watch the rest of the race, don't worry there Sean you will get them figured out. Remember don't feed them after midnight and no water......... Out of 173 riders on the course at one time this is how we finished overall.............. Robfast 33rd Turbo 48th Fastcat1 88th Z-Racer 124th Ta2d 169th So till next time Fastcat1 is outta here...................................

This was the best race at DC yet. The cooler temps were a huge part of it but the track layout was probably the best yet as well.
Ta2d keep us posted on the KFX sure sounds FI related to me. Hang in there man!! You give and take a lot of crap but you sure don't deserve this karma.

I know about the bad luck. I had a rough go for about 5 races where something would always happen and I didn't finish the race. That ended, so now its just 1 race at a time.

Thanks guys I appreciate the good words. Our good buddy Quadrookie let me borrow his gas tank yesterday. I went out and rode hard for about and hour without a problem, so the fuel pump is out in the kawi. Talked to Ryan at Hornung Cycle today and he is gonna take care of me on the pump, thank god. Those pumps cost $330!!!!!!

The rest of Banned Cretins gotta be glad to hear that. If any of you three have a break down it should make for some good MMA!!!

Well I am not out of the clear yet. Kawi doesn't want to cover it under the warranty, but Hornung is fighting for me. I got the pump and put it in last night. Went to fire it up and nothing. I didn't leave the key on and I hear the fuel pump kicking on. IDK, so I need to figure that out and finish changing my front brakes and brake line.
