In a couple of weeks or less we will be heading to Fort Dodge Iowa for the #2 race of the IATVHSS. This track is fast and oh so rough. It has just about everything you want uphills, downhills, off camber, some rough the hades pasture, and plenty of go fast perimeter trails to let it all hang out on.. I know Open Fly Racing will be there in full force. Turbo will trying to maintain his points lead in the +30 class, Z-Racer and Reekers 529 will be hoping for another top 5 finish, Josh Radcliff and Robfast338 will be making a great showing in the B-Class. Mike Reekers after just having having a baby before Hansen Hollows will be ready to go and this will be his hometown track because he lives in Fort Dodge. (lucky him has a short drive). Fastcat will be doing battle again in the Geritol group hoping to make a great showing (really just want to finish) ta2d will be gunning for honors again in the B class. Hope to see everyone there and will have more after the race.................................

Working on some Banned race plans too...

Dam, I'm speechless after seeing the JR's B-Class start and then the SxS airtime everyone was talking about. These pics are Awesome, please pass along my thanks to the camera person. Josh is on here as 450mxh and I am sure he will love that action sequence.
Ft. Dodge lived up to its rep as being one of the roughest tracks on the schedule. I don't mean rough like difficult I mean rough like it will shake you and your bike apart regardless of the speed. I was trying to do the cross-rutted up sections on the East side faster and faster to smooth them out and nothing was working. I had my hardest get-off in 6 years at this race. It was in the 2nd or 3rd lap that I hit a old dead stump just off the trail and sent me over the bars doing at least 25 or better. I got up and checked myself over. Everythign seemed to be working so I pushed the quad back right side up. I had to kick my bars back upright again to get my tether plugged in. Then started up and rode to an open area where I could check things out. Everything seemed fine so I continued the rest of that lap about half speed. Came into the check point and had Randy look things over and it all looked straight so I picked up the pace again. There are some straight flat sections that you can get to 50+ for a short stretch and I did'nt want a wheel coming off at that speed. I finished in 7th place out of 14 and was pretty happy with that. Without the crash I could have moved up a place or two but I was just happy me and quad were in one piece.
Josh dusted off his bad start and rode to a solid 17th place finish out of 30 B-class riders. He was able to shake off some bad luck that had been holding him back some this season so its on wards and up wards from here. Dave has found his competition in the +50 class. Dave got upclose and personal with a tree and needed some quick tie rod repairs from his pit crew before heading back out on the track. Still a nice ride DW. Randy Willey rode to a 10th place finish in a very competitive C+26 class. He is finding inspiration in new places this year!!
Honorable Mention to Davenport's very own Jason "Fireball" Noble for coming in 2nd in the C+26 class. Jason trains hard riding several days a week and is the CEO of Noble Lawncare. He has his sights set on getting an Iowa Series win this year and completing the Ironman class of the 10hr Heartland Challenge.
Adam Weckel rode his CPR Powersports Extreme 70 to a top 10 finish in the 70 class and Jason's daughter Alexa also nailed down a top 10 in the 50 stock class.
The UTV races are becoming a big hit on Saturday nights this year but there was lots of carnage at this round so I'm hoping some of the drivers take it down a notch to avoid breaking the bank on repairs.
