What pressure??? You are the least of my worries, I'm racing the B class, not you. :-) I'm in the top 10 and want to finish there. Why aren't you coming to drink coldies with us saturday night?

Cause this is a day tripper for me. We'll do plenty of that at the next one.
Just cause he knows this was coming here's an update on the bet. I roll up to the pits Sunday morning and here comes Ta2d siting every excuse in the book why he's not gonna shake on this bet. I heard everything from "My bean bag hurts" to Wang Dang Kawasuki put a bad clutch plate in blah blah. Talk about a Banned wind bag. So we bet a $10 video on a straight up finish. Well I could'nt find 2d in the woods all day but did finish pretty close to him. We'll see when the overall results come out.
Let's here 2d's version. Don't worry you're still my favorite Kawi rider. Looking forward to the next race...

Hey I'm a Superstar, Thanks Forum Admin!!!
A bit about Mt Pleasent. This track was probably the toughest track yet this year and I am pretty sure it won't be beat. There was a couple of wet broken rock hill climbs that were brutal and if not met with some momentum you could forget about it. I thought that Kenny's track coming up would be known for the dry creek bed section of the track and some tough hill climbs but uhhh it can't hang with the rocks at Mt P.
My Quad City Quad Doctor 450R was on the box for the 5th consecutive time. Real close to my first class win but got passed at a bottle neck with just a couple miles to go. To finish this race was a good effort to say the least.
Let's hear some feedback FastCat...

Hahaha, good story. To start, I'm really not much of a gambler in the first place and karma sucks. I know first hand, lol. Anyways, I pulled my KFX450R out of the trailer and my clutch is making a god awful noise when I go to take off. I run a Rekluse Z-Start Pro and really got worried. On top of that I bent my steering stem at the BAAN 125 pretty bad. I ordered a new one 2 weeks ago and still haven't recieved it so it won't take much to bend it enough to put it out of commision.
So Colby from C&D Racing takes a look at my clutch and thinks that I have a warped fiber. I can still run it but I have to take it easy and use it like a normal clutch. Yeah, between that, my stem and a slipped disc in my neck that had been giving me havoc for a few days I was a little worried about whether or not I was going to finish.
My first lap was a normal chaotic first lap, banging off of trees and beating myself up until I get a feel for things. On lap 2 I came around a hairpin corner and continue to go into a doughnut. So I stay on the gas to bring it around and straighten it out when I caught some dry dirt and through the air I went with my quad rolling after me doing a total of 3 rotations. I thought for sure my stem was destroyed, but to my estonishment the only harm was my hand Powermadd handguard bracket was snapped off. I continued to battle with our C+ class champion last year for 3 laps. Towards the end of the last lap I passed him for good to take 6th place.
One thing I was a bit bent about was that I never saw any ending times at scoring. So I was pretty much conserving energy most of the race. I thought for sure on my last lap that I would see the 45 or 30 minutes left on the board. Nope it was the checkers, and I still had alot more to give!!!
OK, here's the truth. I felt bad about the royal butt whoopin I was about to give Weck and didn't want to take food out of his kid's mouth and his wife begged me not to bet and to take it easy on him so I didn't hurt his feelings so I decided to just go with the $10 video. Although, Weck did run a good race but had a long time till he caught up with me.

#5 is in the books, and I might add it was one tight, rough, rocky, hill climbing, river crossing, off camber rock climbing, boulder jumping, creek running, and best d**n track to race on book I ever read............. . The Open Fly Race Team had a grand showing with the Turbo coming in 3rd in his class, with the Robfast just seconds ahead in 2nd...... . Jason Noble in the first year racers class came in 6th out 13 so it was a great day for him, I raced around with him for awhile he would lead, then he would let me lead awhile so it was good racing. And Jason gets faster every race. After this weeks suspension rebuild by the QC Quad Doctor, I don't think I will be able to Hang with the young guns. Fastcat1 took 1st in his class and just keeps doing the best he can..... Would like to thank the QC Quad Doctor for all his time and effort in helping take care of the Open Fly Racing Team. Its put his name on the podium every race in more than one class. Looking forward to the next race on the 21st of Sept. at Kenny Hanson farm. It will be a great race on a awesome track with some of the best racers Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and Minnesota have to offer. So don't forget to come and watch, and for those who aren't AFRAID, line up and take a shot at two hours of the best riding you will get.......................... There are no overalls up don't know how everybody finished yet as soon as they are available I will let you know. Till later Fastcat1 Outta Here.................... ;D
