Congrats to all that showed and raced!! It was good to see you all there! Shetter- Glad I could talk you into racing pro class. Shad - I'm sure glad Soseman ran you in the last group on the MX track or else we wouldn't have had any jumps left by the way that machine was moving the real estate! Glad you could make the showing for the utes. Kerry - Glad you got out there and showed your rookie experience has come a long way! Time for a new quad, then look out! Rydur - Glad you can get out there and have some fun with the rest of the family! Nathan - Good to see that you still got what it takes to race since you've been out of it for a while. Keep up the good work buddy! JC - Glad to meet you and you are quite a force on your Polaris pred/outlaw. Loran - Good to see you showing your support to Popecreek and out there tearing it up on a dirtbike AND quad. Amy - You had a good showing even though that neck wasn't letting you ride as fast as you wanted. Sue - I was crushed when you past me, you didn't even offer me any brownies while I was trying to limp my quad up the hill. I was worried for the rest of the race when I saw you hunched over near your quad. Seeing Rydur there waving me on was semi comforting, but I still thought about you. Amber - You sure do alright for a girl. You raced very well as always.....well there was that one time..but I know how it is. I'm very proud of you! (why wouldn't I be?) You got all the makings of a racer, you just got to enter! Eric - You suck and should pay better attention to those tree monsters!

UBN - Yea, I was pretty sick when I passed you - you're LUCKY I didn't stop there! Good thing I didn't pass out, Wait4me would've been doing CPR and Amy would've called for a helicopter! Geez..... (Wait4me--don't lose your gold star!)

Don't forget Chaeys Newton who kicked butt on the moto track with his motorcycle! He had a horrible start for the harescramble when his bike wouldn't start, but once he got it going he was able to lap everybody and finish first for that race. (he even lapped one girl twice!)
And who could forget Buddy Wren racing his motorcycle, he beat a ten year old girl by only 10 feet!! Way to go Buddy!

Dr. Shez, your mention of a girl motorcyclist reminded me of a funny story (I know Ubn remembers it too). hahahaha Ubn, Dr. Shez, Shredder, Mothership and I were all hanging out at the MX track waiting for the bikes to start their timber laps. We were standing on the bank of the creek where you have to go down the fairly rutted and twisty path to do the initial creek crossing. As Ubn and I stood right next to the path....the "B" class bikes roared down. They all took it pretty easy at this spot as it was tricky...but one rider just stopped and tipped the bike off the steep path. Ubn and I stepped over to see if we could help......and we notice the rider is a blond female of unknown age. As we get her bike pointed down the bank, Ubn says "Just follow the rut down and into the creek, you'll be fine." A nervous and older-than-thought voice replies, "YEAH, You don't know how I F(bomb)n drive!! I'm gonna crack my F(bomb)n head open at the bottom!!!!" HAHAHAHHAHAAHHAAAAAAAA It was hilarious and made both Ubn and I take a step back. She made it down ok and I did see her finish the race later on. It was just funny in that "spur of the moment" kind of way. I thought she was a young girl on a smaller bike trying a race for the first time. To hear her blast the F-bombs like a sailor was just too funny...... Ubn and I were giggling our butts off as we walked over to tell Shredder and Dr. Shez.

Jason was an excellent host!
The race day was PERFECT weather except for the dust on the MX hill.
Jason asked us to set up a booth & we donated mega-merchandise for the event so the winners wouldn't go home empty handed.
As for our family's placement...
Kid's quads (overall): Austin got second place trophy & Lauren got third place. The trophies look great in their rooms.
Beginner's bike: I pulled the Holeshot & held the lead through the MX course on an Xtreme 125 pitbike!!! Chaeys passed me about halfway through & managed to hold the lead thereafter. I think I ended up third after lapping a couple people & finally getting a flat tire at the end of the race.
Chaeys is an excellent rider & a good sport. Congrats.
I had to forego the woods section of beginner bikes as my valve stem & tube were history.
Class B quads: Michelle was supposed to run her new quad (a Honda 250EX) but she had injured her wrist. Not wanting the "new" quad to sit idle, I ran the event on the little 250. I did well on the MX track losing the holeshot, then passing everyone except Amber. Every time I was stuck to her heels there was nowhere to pass, then the big hill seperated us as the litle 250EX turned into a little train saying [glow=red,2,300]"I think I can". [/glow]Every lap I fell behind on the hill, but was right there by the time we came around again. No replacement for displacement...
The woods course was a blast & again the 250 showed itself as a little train at the water crossings. In the woods it was a blast to ride fast (small nimble quad & tight trails) but for all I gained in the woods, I lost ground in the open areas & acroos the creek.
Lots of fun overall. I'll be at the Frozen Toe with a bigger machine!!!
