Posted by Wait4me on Today at 9:34pm I'm giving Craig his Cobra helmet back it's got "BAD MOJO", he dumped his quad sideways at St Joe, MO this summer while wearing that helmet and then we all know what happened to me while wearing it last Sunday! Truthfully, can't blame the helmet for my stupidity! As far as scuffing it up, yea I put a pretty good gouge in the back of it, but better the helmet than my head!

I finally made it out to Triple E this week and picked up my free helmet. It's black and silver like my old one, but VERY NICE!!! My old one has a LOT of nicks and abrasions from tumbles I had last year when I first got my 250EX. Whew, what a year that was! Thanks to everyone who voted for the "Witch" at our Halloween ride. And thanks to the Two Rivers Club for awarding prizes for the best costumes! I think we do it just for the fun of it, but the prizes are the frosting on the Krispee treats! ;D

Yea, and if you quit going over your handlebars so much, your gear will last longer! hahahaha I think we both need to slow down for a little while. I need to let my neck heal, and you need to get used to your new ride.

/\ Very good idea Mothership. I even used my ride points gift cards to buy a chest protector as I knew I would need a little extra protection while learning the Raptor's different physics....especially on hills and fast trails. If it is ok with you, I would be very happy to take it easy for awhile......and thereby still get to accompany you on the rides.

I am SO READY to ride (mentally) but not sure how long it will be before I get to go on a ride. I'm sort of waiting for a close ride, good weather, and hoping my husband won't shoot me for taking a chance of messing up my neck again. It's hard, because my neck hasn't hurt at all, but that's where the disk is bulging. It was my arms and legs that were hurting, and now that I've had the cortisone shots, they don't hurt anymore. So am I good to go, or not? THAT IS THE QUESTION!! I think Solon may be my first ride.....
