I am off work Christmas week so I am looking to get out on the quad a couple times. Let's have a formal work skip day ride on Friday 12/29. Let's keep it relatively local as to not hinder attendance to the actual December second ride that is hosted by Loran Quad Doctor on 1/1/07. As you know his location is to be determined. Post any suggestions here. I am thinking Popecreek or Keithsburg. This is NOT an official club points ride!!!

I am all for a good reason to skip work!! Would this be considered an "excusable absence"? Just to be safe......if I can come along, would you be able to write me a note Weck? Just sign it Dr. Weck if you would. Seriously though, scheduling is always going to be a sticky part for joining rides so any additional ride chances are a welcome sight. Take care.

I feel a little warm standing under this spotlight!
To be clear, the 1/1/07 ride to Rockport is officially cancelled!
Rockport is closed to ATV's so the Annual (up until 2006) New Year Ride we discussed at the last meeting is no longer an option. I would still like to have a second ride (perhaps on Saturday, Dec. 30th), but need some suggestions to assist in choosing a venue.
Solon is out because that will be the place for the January ride. I've been talking w/ Fisch from the now-defunct "Brickyard", but if we are able to make arrangements to visit the new site, it most likely won't happen until sometime in 2007. I will keep evryone posted on this ride area & if it works out, I will Host that Ride for sure.
In the meantime, where should we go the last Saturday of the year??? Post on-line & please bring your ideas to the meeting tonight!!!

Thanks Jamie, I thought about doing a "modify" to the post but then figured that Adam wouldn't get a chuckle out of that. Speaking of Adam, outside of the last ride to Oskaloosa, I haven't seen or heard from him except for the droning sound of key-tapping coming from Wyoming. When are you going to put away the computer & come out to ride 400EX???

I would think it would be quite boring and tiresome for a big utility quad. But this is just my opinion.

So that doesn't say much. I hope to see you there. I'd like to see a good group of go fast guys to push each other thru the whoops! Can you say "Arm pump"?

Am I mistaken or did UBN just call 400EX a "Go Fast Guy" I feel slightly insulted, I'd like to think I am a "Somewhat Go Fast Guy" but I didnt get a specific mention! I hope this dosnt mean I'm not invited!

I havent decided on if im going yet or not!! Have to talk to Dennis and see what hes doing!! Dear Mr. Schmidt, Please oh please let 400EX come out and play, it seems like he's been grounded forever! I've been to alot of rides and quite frankly its just not the same without him there. I realize smack talking the older crowd without backing it up is something that should not go unpunished, but having to eat his own words again and again seems punishment enough dont you think? I do believe he has learned his lesson and deserves a second chance. So please, please, pleeeeeease give him permission to go on the next ride, we all really miss him! Sincerely, X-man I hope this helps convince Dennis to let you go!
