Thats a Fun Fact!
Leave it to Honda to make a quad so incredibly powerful that the Government hit them with the ban hammer for 10 years!

I skipped that part of the Stern show after I heard her described by Howie. Those "eyes" must have been grotesquely huge!
I think all time sickest bit was Blue Iris on the Sibian. YUCKKK!!

Artie was goin off during the whole segment. She made a comment about weighing 98lbs, and he goes BS those must be 25lbs a piece. She comes back with the fact that she does not factor those in but they do weigh 11 per. I think one of the sat rads is in my near future

Now that I know you're a Stern fan too, the obscure show references are gonna be flyin'. ;D Artie KILLED on the Jim Breuer special last night! That One guy does a dead on Sam Kinison impression. Even Howard was impressed. I got the feeling Howard was really missin' Sam the whole time he was doin' it.

Now that I think about it, we probably shouldn't drink around each other since we're both Stern listeners. We will absolutely be pissin' people off......... ;D ;D

That's very interesting I wonder how many people will actually go to Canada from the U.S. to get an 07 Banshee. My guess is that Yamaha will try this for a year and see how sales are. So the Banshee will live on... just in another country. Jeez plenty of space to ride ATV's without much regulation, 07 Banshee's, and cheap prescription drugs, why wouldnt anyone want to go to Canada!

I'm gonna change the subject again... Thought it would be fun if everyone shared what their very first experience with an ATV or ATC was on. And or what everyones first machine purchase was...I'll start! The first ATV I ever rode was a 1987 Yamaha Warrior! My dad bought it when I was 14 and it was alot of machine for a complete newbie. He had the thumb throttle screw turned quite a ways in but I soon figured out how to remedy that! I remember trying to get used to the clutch took awhile. Later my dad sold the Warrior but it was too late I had the bug and bought my very own machine. A 1985 Yamaha ATC 200ER It had a huge balloon front tire and monster wolly buggers out back. Shaft Drive, Electric Start, and reverse with front suspension only. I rode the hell out of that thing and eventually shelled the rear end out of it. I fixed it...kind of, and sold it immedately and cut my losses. After a long time of looking and test riding alot of ATV's and ATC's I finally ended up with the 350X, and the rest as they say is history.

This is digging into my memory bank...... Back in 1983, my dad brought home a 1970's Honda 70cc three wheeler. A little while later, he bought a 1984 Honda TRX200 4-wheeler for him to ride. It was the baddest thing around our area back then. Then I had a ATC 90, moved up to a 125M The first time I rode on anything with a manual clutch was a 1985 Tri-Z 250. I was 12 or 13. Scary fast at that age. My first purchased ATV (not mom and dad money) was a 1994 Blaster bought in 1996. I had that thing for 6 years. Picture a 220lb man on it! Got rid of it, bought a CR250 dirtbike...it whipped me, bought a 400ex, then the 450R. Mostly Rode Red, with one exception.

I forgot to mention between the Warrior and my 200 my neighbor had one of those Honda Odyssey's and a Honda Mini Trail 50 that I rode around on some. The same neighbor also had a 350X that he wouldnt let me ride and refused to sell it too me. I remember thinking it was the baddest a$$ thing ever! Too bad it was a garage queen, I only saw him ride it a couple times in like 12 years!

MY first ATC was a 1983 Honda 110 3-wheeler with balloon tires. I rode the hell out of it and was pretty content with it. Then I seen a 1986 Honda 200X 3- wheeler in the paper that was red, white, and blue and just had to have it. It was in perfect condition and very well taken care of. I have had it for 10 years except for the two years when my sister bought it until she found a quad she wanted. I bought the trike back a few months ago and will probably never sell her again. The first quad I ever owned is a 2004 Yamaha 350 Raptor and it does good for me.

My very first quad was an well-used '87 LT500 Quadzilla. I rode it everywhere & did very well in the mud-drags out at the Bike-Barn. The trophy-winning quad was unfortunately stolen from me. I replaced it with one of the most versatile quads I have ever owned. A brand new '97 Scrambler 400 4x4! ;D Since then I (& my family) have owned numerous different rides including an '94 TRX90, '87 LT230E, '99 Lakota, '96 Warrior, '85 ATC185S, '73 ATC70, '85 LT230S, '85 ATC250R, '90 Moto-4 100, '04 Bombardier Outlander 400 4x4, '99 416EX, & a few others along the way... I can honestly say that there isn't one quad I regret owning. Each had it's own unique qualities that made it a good quad & I would recomend any one of them to the right rider...

The top story on Channel 8 News a few nights back was about a fatal ATV accident in Davenport.
The reporter on the scene doing the story was giving the details and pointed out that the man killed was riding a "3 wheeled ATV" from the looks of the video they had (not very good) it looked like a Honda 200 or there abouts.
What I found amusing was she referred to the 3-wheeler as "An Old School Model" - Old School? is that the official termanology an on air professional should be using? I was so hoping that "Representin" would could out of her mouth next.
Something like; "Joe Bob crashed on his 3-wheeled ATV which is an old school model, but dont worry cuz he was representin"
Of course the whole story put a bad twist on our beloved sport and I was mildly annoyed at how they twisted wording to make it sound like it was the ATV's fault and not the rider.
At the Formal Ride we should have just called the media and said there has been a terrible disaster at our ATV ride. When they dropped everything and rushed over and asked where the ATV disaster was, we could have all said. "It's a fashion disaster this outfit totally dosent match my helmet. Oh while your here maybe you'd like to cover our event!" ;D

Hi the Midwest off road park down by Fort Madison IA is a private park. When the club goes as a group the cost is $10.00 per person. If you join the park I think that its $125.00 a person for one year and you can ride all you want. If you have any more questions feel free to call me at (563) 349-8886.
